Damaging?
Here's the latest left wing attempt to damage Bush. It's in the NY Times, no less, so if there was the possibility of doing damage, they would be swinging for the fences.
The best they could do was that he "all but" admitted smoking pot as a kid. Did he ever say he didn't? Did he light up at a state dinner? Show me anyone who grew up in the 60's or 70's who didn't try it once or twice and I'll show you a liar.
The only other "damaging" thing was that he wouldn't "kick gays". The article claims that it will hurt his conservative support. What?? Does the Times really think that conservatives want to "kick gays"? A small faction of extreme right wingers would like complete oppression. That's not the main conservative voting force.
The Times wraps up the article with a quote, "...the five turning points in my life. Accepting Christ. Marrying my wife. Having children. Running for governor. And listening to my mother." Damaging?? I don't think so.

I found this funny as well...I don't think anyone, including democrats, really cared...just more of that handful of people that are grasping at straws to make Bush look bad....
